One enchanted drunken evening in a city you used to call home. “Strange Vacation”, the new single from Athens, GA country rockers Little Gold, floats along across the American landscape on a bed of piano and pedal steel, as frontman Christian DeRoeck runs down a checklist of experiences sure to resonate with anyone who’s ever traveled the country playing music. Recorded by Jesse Mangum at The Glow, and featuring guest appearances from fellow Athens musicians T. Hardy Morris and Hunter Pinkston of The Pink Stones. Side B features two more new songs, “Pissin’” and “Cochise” (acoustic version recorded at Ear Bonez Studios), both of which will be re-tracked for the upcoming full length “Born to Loose” due out in 2025. These versions of the songs are exclusive to this single. This release is limited to 500 copies on transluscent grape vinyl, featuring incredible full-color artwork by scene legend Mikie Poland.
