Lightwatch started in October of 2020 as a little garage rock band, originally called “Yes Trespassing.” Over the years, they traveled all over the Southeast building their catalogue and figuring out who they were. In the summer of 2023, they started recording their first full-length record and quickly realized they had outgrown both their original name and sound. The songs that came to be “Into the Evers” demanded a more serious approach to the music. Thus, Yes Trespassing became Lightwatch. They released their debut LP in December of 2024 and have been consistently touring the material across the entire eastern half of the U.S., with a lengthy tour schedule beginning in July and ending in September. The band’s fresh but familiar mix of aggressive riffs and dynamic vocals keep crowds coming back every time. While it’s obvious that they draw inspiration from the 90’s grunge and alternative rock movements, you can’t quite put your finger on what exactly they sound like. You’ll just have to listen for yourself.
